About
Public health physician working across data, digital transformation and health services
I am a Portuguese physician with an MD and MPH, and I am currently completing a PhD in Health Data Science. My work connects public health, data, digital transformation and day-to-day health service operations.
My current roles include Public Health Physician at ULS Gaia Espinho, Programmes Coordinator at Direção Executiva do SNS and External Consultant for WHO/Europe, alongside academic and industry collaboration.
The common thread is practical: using technology and data science where they help teams make better decisions, improve processes and deliver better health services.
Areas of work
- Digital health systems: implementation, adoption and evaluation of technology in health services
- Public health policy: evidence, population health and service improvement
- Health data: business intelligence and data visualisation for clinical and operational decisions
